This Privacy Policy explains what information CashBooks Inc ("CashBooks" or "we") collect about you and why, what we may do with that information and how we handle your Content when you use CashBooks Applications, App, Software, Services, and Websites (collectively referred to as "CashBooks app" or "Service").

When you create your CashBooks account, we'll ask for personal information needed to prevent fraud, spam, and abuse:

How we work with financial institutions and service providers
CashBooks uses Plaid Inc. to gather your data from financial institutions. By using our service, you grant CashBooks and Plaid the right to access and transmit your personal and financial information from relevant financial institutions.
Your personal and financial information is transferred, stored, and processed by Plaid in accordance with the Plaid Privacy Policy. This enables us to provide accurate financial data and accounting management services as instructed by you.
When and how we share your information
CashBooks may share information in the following circumstances:
We may disclose your information if required to comply with law, regulation, or valid legal process. We will provide advance notice when possible, unless prohibited by court order. We may also disclose information to prevent imminent harm, address fraud, security issues, or protect our rights.
We may employ third party companies to process personal information under contractual promises of confidentiality, including security consultants, email vendors, hosting providers, payment processors, and marketing vendors.
In the event of a merger, acquisition, bankruptcy, or similar transaction, information may be transferred as part of that proceeding.

CashBooks takes reasonable steps to protect information from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access or disclosure. We follow generally accepted standards to protect personal data submitted to us.

No electronic transmission or digital storage mechanism is ever fully secure or error-free. Emails and notifications we send are not encrypted.
Control over your personal information
When you use CashBooks, you have control over your privacy and content visibility:
Deactivate account: Email [email protected] to disable access and permanently delete content
Delete content: Remove any content you've uploaded - access removed for you and others
Control visibility: Choose how your content is visible to others
Access settings: Modify your account preferences and privacy settings
When you delete content, it's removed for you and others you've shared it with. However, if someone copies your content to their account, that copy remains accessible to them. Deleted data may remain on our servers for up to 30 days before permanent deletion.
Data Export: We currently do not have an option for export of your data. Such features may be released in the future.

We are committed to protecting the privacy of children. CashBooks is not designed for or directed at children under 18. If you learn that a minor child has provided us with personal information without parental/guardian consent, please contact us.
Parents/guardians of minors are allowed to save personally identifiable data related to their children.
